Tammy's Disney Magic Eastern Caribbean Cruise June 20-27, 2009

Disney Magic docked in Tortola

We had so much fun on this trip!!!   Our trip over to the ship was just as smooth as always..no problems whatsoever.  We walked right into the terminal and right up to an agent--it wasn't crowded at all.  We got our Keys to the World  card and had our picture taken and was off to board the ship.

The Magic is a beautiful ship and we noticed the differences in between it and the Wonder right off.  We were very pleased with our stateroom and I am so glad I made that change and got the porthole..we really enjoyed it!  We sat all our towel animals along the porthole every night and had a big collection at the end--it was very neat.  I really enjoyed this cruise--we had alot of time that we could actually sit and relax, those extra days are really worth their weight in gold!  We had a medical emergency on board and on Monday night we docked in San Juan for about 2 hours for them to take care of that...it looked like a beautiful city from what we could see--it was about 9 p.m. and dark, but we could still make out alot.

On Tuesday we docked in Tortola...I actually think this was our favorite!  We took the island tour and had a blast!!!  We went all over the island and then to Cane Garden Bay.  This was awesome!!  They had a little straw market type of shops there and very reasonable prices--i got Jake 2 shirts for $10.  I would definitely recommend this tour!  Our guide had pirate attire on and was very amusing and informative---we stopped at sky city (I think that was the name of it) and you could see all the different islands from up there---it was breath taking!  You did feel kinda like you were on a roller coaster though...you drive straight up the hills and then straight down the hills--and if you look over the side of the open air safari car--it was straight down...but way fun!!!

On Wednesday we docked at St Thomas...Megan's Bay is just gorgeous!  The water is so blue--just like being in a swimming pool...and so clear!    We really did enjoy our day here.  We enjoyed the tour here as well, but I think on Tortola they actually told us more about the island and the places on it than they did on St Thomas.  Both islands are beautiful and I would go back again in a heartbeat--and Disney of course knows exactly how to cater to you--

Castaway Cay is our number one favorite!  It was beautiful as always--a little bit more seaweed in the water this time around, but that may be from all the construction they are doing..seemed the water wasn't as clear as previous times either...but nothing to complain about!  We loved our time on the boat and on the excursions as well...It was just awesome!  I could write you several pages about all we did and how much fun we had!  I have to say this was probably one of our best trips!!!

Seems like I wrote you a book...but I still didn't tell you of half the fun we had...Thank you so much Tim for taking such good care of our vacation needs...We had a BLAST!!!!!!!!!
