Return to Question of the Week Highlights In honor of Thanksgiving, fill in this sentence: I am thankful for my DVC membership because ... Answers posted to the list: I am thankful for DVC because it has given us travel opportunities we probably wouldn't have had otherwise. I love planning the trips, plotting the point usage and making the most of our membership. Since purchasing, I've been able to take my dad to Disney an unbelievable number of times and we still enjoy going as much as ever. Those memories are priceless to me, and will only grow in importance. Ed ----- I am thankful for my DVC membership because it has allowed us to better budget out our annual vacations so we can include a trip to Disney at least once a year! Anna ----- It has allowed me to take many wonderful vacations with my kids that I would never be able to afford. Now that they are older we use DVC for special visits (ie: Holidays, Flower Festival) and my kids still enjoy Disneyworld but in a grown up fashion. Within the next 2 years they will both be of age to enjoy Pleasure Island, so it will oen upa whole new "world" for us. Dennis ----- I am thankful for DVC because if we didn't own I don't think I could talk my DH into going to WDW anywhere near as often as we do (every 12-18 months). Having it ensures that WDW stays in the rotation of vacation spots (thank goodness!). Happy Thanksgiving, Ann ----- Because our daughter's eyes light up for months beforehand every time the trip is mentioned. She thinks we are the best parents for being able to take her there so often. Also, we get to stay on property for a fraction of the cost that the shmucks who refuse to believe there really is no 'catch' to ownership, have to pay. Not to mention the goodwill we spread around when we can take family and friends with us. Bob ----- It gives our family a reason/excuse to have a nice vacation together every year. It provides the perfect accommodations for a family of 5 like ours, who enjoy being together but not joined at the hip. The WDW destination has something for every one of our disparate interests. It proved that my husband and I really can agree on something! Kim ----- I'm thankful for the opportunities we've had to vacation alone, as well as with family. The best being there to see our grandchildrens' eyes light up with every new experience. I'm also especially thankful for all of the vacations we've been able to "gift" to our families. Honeymoons, high school band trips, anniversaries, graduations and birthdays. I love being able to "share our wealth" (and love) of Disney.
