Captain Eo, starring Michael Jackson, a classic 3-D video that played in the Disney theme parks in the 1980’s, is returning to Disneyland starting February 23rd. This video from Disney interviews fans about their best memories of Captain Eo. For me, I was amazed by the 3-D effects, the dancing, and the music in the short movie. And I was not a big Michael Jackson fan! We are hoping to get to Disneyland in May to see Captain Eo once again.
The Super Bowl MVP (or winning quarterback) often is shown after the game saying “I’m going to Disney World!” Drew Brees got his dream on Monday as this video from Disney shows:
Here’s an interesting video from Disney about all the work that goes on in the Disneyland Park overnight. Didn’t know they refueled the 100+ cars at Autopia each night!
It’s a shame that Walt Disney died just before the Club was completed and never got a chance to see it. The closest I (Tim) ever came to Club 33 is getting in the elevator! (this was on the Walk In Walt’s Footsteps Tour - see more photos I took here)
As many of you know Disney always has a big celebration when they open a new attraction. This goes back to the days of Walt Disney, who always had a big party in introducing the projects he was involved with. This video from Disney shows some of Walt’s “opening days”:
Here’s another Disney video with more on the World of Color show planned for Disneyland later this year. We have always loved the Fantasmic show and World of Color looks like it may be even better!
Here’s a video of a new feature planned at Disney’s California Adventure Park - the World Of Color. This promises to be a great night time entertainment attraction!
This video from Disney reveals the exciting changes planned for the California Adventure park. Unlike some we always liked California Adventure and these new additions will make it even better.
Disney Cruise Line continues to be a great option for a family vacation. We’ve been on many cruises with our kids and while most ships we’ve experienced have had excellent kids programs, Disney’s offerings are unique. We especially like that Disney kids clubs are open for more hours when compared to other lines (9 am to midnight with no extra charge for late night hours). The shows in the big theatre are more family oriented on Disney than what we have seen on other cruises, too. Here’s a short video from Disney on the features of the Disney Cruise Line kids program:
Here’s a short video from Disney with a behind the scenes look at the Osborne Lights - an impressive holiday lighting display at Disney World. We always make time to visit the Osborne Lights when in Disney World in December - one of our favorite attractions! Didn’t know about the hidden “purple cat” mentioned towards the end of this video.
